MD Steele has a long history of partnering with RRC Polytech — from presentations to students about the construction industry, advising how to keep the curriculum current, to taking on apprentices and hiring graduates.

“I’ve been with MD Steele since 2005 and there hasn’t been one year we haven’t had an apprentice out in the field,” says Richard Wilson, President of MD Steele, and graduate of RRC Polytech’s Civil Engineering Technology program.

In 2022, MD Steele was proud to announce a $110,000 donation to the college and was honoured with a Skilled Trades & Technology classroom being named after the company. MD Steele recognizes the hard work of students through the provision of two annual awards, one that promotes the carpentry program and one for second-year civil engineering students.
