Richard is extremely proud to be leading M.D. Steele into the future. His strong belief in treating co-workers, partners, clients, subtrades and everyone he meets as valuable and essential inspires integrity throughout the firm. Early influencers in Richard’s career taught him that what matters most is the people behind every company and every project. For Richard, quality and reputation matter as much as buildings and bridges.
Originally it was a passion for building bridges that attracted Richard to M.D. Steele in 2005. Today, his confidence in the team to deliver and manage building and bridge projects of any size fuels a vision to expand the company’s reputation for excellence.
The construction industry – and how its people are treated, viewed and respected – matter a great deal to Richard. His participation as Chair, Vice Chair and Treasurer of Merit Manitoba, and his role on the board of Manitoba Heavy Construction Association are a testament to his commitment to the industry. Richard has also served as Past Chair of Merit Manitoba and Vice Chair/Treasurer of Merit Canada.
In the community, Richard has used his passion and skills to coach hockey and volunteered on the board of his local community club for over 14 years.
If you see Richard at a rink, golf course or at the lake, ask him what makes M.D. Steele special and get ready to listen!
