Nicholas moved into the role of project manager in 2020, working with the superintendent to manage complex projects. He creates project budgets to allow for accurate cost control of all project tasks and scopes of work.
Collaborative by nature, Nicholas appreciates working with both the internal team at M.D. Steele and with the subtrades, engineers, consultants and clients. With 20 years in the industry, Nicholas has considerable experience in a range of projects, including interior renovations, multistory buildings and civil projects. He is well versed in many forms of contracts with construction management, design build, to bid and spec-stipulated price.
Starting as a labourer, Nicholas completed the Manitoba apprenticeship program, acquiring his red seal journeyman carpenter’s certificate. He continues to take courses through the Winnipeg Construction Association and Merit Contractors.
Nicholas enjoys the family cabin at Lac du Bonnet, golf and escaping the cold to Mexico during the winter.
