Matthew Schiak
Project Manager
Matthew’s career with M.D. Steele started as labour then a co-op a summer student while he was in school at Red River College to be a Certified Engineering Technologist. Matthew has been a project manager full-time since. His role as a project manager involves working with the superintendent to develop and execute a project schedule, coordinate subtrades, prepare project submittals, billings, and assess project risks and schedule impacts.
Matthew has worked on M.D. Steele bridge rehabilitation projects for the City of Winnipeg and Manitoba Infrastructure, including the PTH 10 bridge over the Souris River and in Winnipeg, the Queen Elizabeth Bridge and the Nairn Overpass. He has also worked on new structures such as the Sherwin Road Box Culvert and Seine River PPCC Bridge.
Matthew is a Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T.) and member of CTTAM (Certified Technicians and Technologists Association of Manitoba). When not working, Matthew can be found playing or coaching hockey, golfing or at the lake.
