Kurt Wegner
Partner
Kurt has been with M.D. Steele for over twenty years. Today, he is a principal owner and partner at the firm, but he wasn’t born with a blazer and collared shirt on. Before starting at M.D. Steele as a general foreman with us in 2001 he was a carpenter and very much “on the tools”.
Today, Kurt plays a dual role of corporate leadership while also serving as a superintendent on projects. Some of his greatest accomplishments while part of M.D. Steele includes the Provencher Bridge (Esplanade) and multiple projects on the Floodway including two 300-meter Trans-Canada Highway bridges within 12 months.
If you see Kurt on the job or at campsite with his family, ask him about the Winnipeg River Bridge on PTH 313 at Lac Du Bonnet – another challenging project successfully lead by Kurt and completed by M.D. Steele.
